Love songs and Oldies from Philly Soul pioneers The Delfonics, including the all-time classic \u201cDidn\u2019t I (Blow Your Mind This Time).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Delfonics kick off the 30th year of Music in the Park, a downtown musical institution, with an evening of soul and R&B classics. These Oldies are lush, soulful and intimately arranged. William \u201cPoogie\u201d Hart was primarily composer of all the Delfonics\u2019 hits of the \u201960s and \u201970s. With Hart singing lead, the Delfonics hit it big with \u201cLa La Means I love You,\u201d later featured in Spike Lee\u2019s Crooklyn, Quentin Tarantino\u2019s Jackie Brown and sung by Nicolas Cage in \u201cThe Family Man.\u201d 1970 single \u201cDidn\u2019t I (Blow Your Mind This Time) won the 1970 Grammy for best R&B Performance by a duo or group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
