Island reggae hit-maker brings his hip-hop inflected good vibes to Music in the Park.
Southern California native J Boog is a reggae singer who has built solid followings in California and Hawaii. Of Samoan descent, J Boog’s nickname was the result of his fidgety lifestyle. He has stayed busy building his musical career and creating his sound since his 2007 debut album “Hear Me Roar.” Between first and follow-up albums, he spent time in jamaica studying the greats of reggae and recording in their studios. His 2011 Backyard Boogie release expanded his following internationally, topping Billboard and iTunes charts in a number of countries. His 2014 EP “Live Up!” earned him a Top 5 spot on the Reggae Albums charts.
NTTG Players are a DJ collective who specialize in playing old vinyl records. For this event we have the following DJs spinning rare oldies / soul & funk records: DJ Basura, David Ma, DJ Albert Jenkins, & Brandon Roos
